Beach walk with the dogs and the love of Wales
October 10, 2016Chasing the rain, a hangover and a treat at the summit
October 16, 2016
It wasn't that long ago when running up a mountain would have been a big no, no but these days after a fair bit of training I can now do it and with a huge smile on my face.
In fact, I now find running on the flat not as enjoyable and seem to pick up more injuries when I do. Fell running is all about running style and taking it slow at the start.
Rhiw mountain in North Wales is very close to where I live and is a great and relatively easy run to do when I have a spare 45 minutes.
The views are always wonderful as you can see.
I set out just before sunset and as you can see by the changing light Mother Nature put on a great display
Listen as I describe the scene, the wonderful landscape and a spectacular sunset that changes every minute.
Running up the hill towards the summit
My girl Amber at the summit
Sun over the headland and Bardsey Island
Back up the hill, sunset and the headland. That little hill on the left of the pic is the one I struggle to run up
