Panic attack 3,000ft up on a knife edge ridge
April 9, 2017The hidden world of Mother Nature
April 22, 2017
Taking a tech detox, being outside in mother nature and a breathless climb up Elidir Fawr
Climbing Elidi Fawr out of breath but escaping from the world.
Taking a complete break from Social Media and from work over the 4 day break.
It was so great and I really felt totally connected.
Apologies for my breathlessness at the start of this podcast. It was a very steep incline on the way up to the summit.
The clouds were shifting every few moments and casting their shadows across the fields thousands of feet below. With sunlight breaking through the shifting grey and dappling the green beneath like a spotlight on a stage.
On the ridge we were climbing round you can see where the glaciers helped form this part of the Snowdonia range millions of year ago.
As we climbed the views got better and better and at one point the grey clouds turned very black and created a huge foreboding shadow cross Ey Garn mountain in front of us which made the scene like something from Lord of The Rings.
As we descended we came across two wonderful birds darting around in front of us called Stone Chatts. So tiny but happy being this high up amongst the barren wilderness.
Enjoy this week's episode
Fabulous clouds on our way to the summit
Love the wood on the stile near the summit.
Love the stone walls. All hand constructed hundreds of years ago.
Carved by the glaciers. We climbed around the back of this.
Good for the soul and mind.
